He did great!

Tyler did great at Vacation Bible School! He had no problem with me leaving him and really enjoyed the crafts, stories and especially singing and dancing! After his first day we were in the car with Grandma and he said, "Mom, I didn't realize you were going to go home!" We couldn't believe he said "realize" and laughed and laughed! Last night we had a special service at church where the kids showed the congregation their songs and Pastor highlighted the bible stories they learned. I just loved watching Tyler sing and dance with all the other kids! :-)

After service Tyler got to have an ice cream bar and had fun "log rolling" down the hill oustide the church!

Vacation Bible School

Tomorrow morning Tyler will be going to his first day of Vacation Bible School!! Tyler is definitely excited and a little apprehensive, as am I! This is the first time I will be dropping him off somewhere that he will be completely on his own and doesn't know anyone. We've been talking about it since Friday and started a little countdown. He asked a lot of questions and we tried our best to explain to him what would be going on so he knows what to expect.

The main thing is I hope he realizes that I'm not staying there with him! Even if he's not sure what he's getting into, I have no doubt in my mind he will quickly adjust and do wonderfully!! This will be a great warm up for preschool this fall, especially since he will be going to preschool at this church!

I apologize for the lack of updates lately...I hope to be getting back into the swing of things around here soon. My lifting restriction will be coming off on Thursday so I am gradually trying to do more and so far I am feeling good!

My Umbilical Hernia

My surgery went great today on my umbilical hernia. My original time to be at the hospital was 10:30 but they called yesterday morning and asked to switch it to 8:30. For anyone that knows me knows that I wasn't happy since I am NOT a morning person but I guess I didn't have a whole lot of choice. :-)

Got there, got prepped and was all ready to go...and waited...and waited... Until 11:00 when they FINALLY took me back! I was annoyed, yet tried to be understanding since the surgery before mine ran long. I know if it was me and I wouldn't want the doc saying, "Ok, let's just get this done quick since I have another appointment!" Plus, I ended up falling asleep in the prepping area (or whatever that's called) so it went by fast. I just feel bad for Josh having to sit there!

I came out of surgery and I did not get terribly sick...THANK God!!! I am feeling great, a bit sore, but nothing major. I keep telling everyone, nothing compares to having a c-section so I'm honestly doing great!! :-) My only complaint is a bad dry mouth from the anti-nausea patch they gave me. I'll take that over puking though!

Next project...Tyler and Trevor's birthday party on Sunday!

Wordless Wednesday - 4th Floor

My "Wordless Wednesday" is turning out to be not so wordless! LoL...whatever, at least I'm posting, right?!
Saturday night Auntie Diane watched Trevor (THANKS!!) so mommy and daddy could take Tyler to the 4th Floor outdoor show at Cross Country in Sugar Camp. Tyler was one tired kiddo but had SOOOO much fun seeing Uncle Dan and "the boys" play! I think he even might have been a bit star struck...and as you can see in the last pic/video, he wants to be a rock star now!

Tyler even asked daddy for some water to drink during his performance, which consisted of him pretty much screaming nonesense....it was adorable! He also walked over to give me knuckles, just like Uncle Dan and Zach did! (Come to http://www.baby-oh-baby.blogspot.com/ to check out the video below!)

Toddler Tuesday - Swimming Lessons

At swimming lessons they play a game called "Chop, Chop, Timber" where they pick what kind of tree they want to be (Tyler was a Christmas tree this time) and then the instructors "water" them. When they "grow" the instructor says, "Chop, chop, timmmmmber!" and they are supposed to jump into the water. (Key word being supposed...haha) Tyler is on the right side of the group next to the girl in the yellow. It seems like they are in fast forward because it was so cold this morning they were trying to keep the kids in the water! (See video below)

Wordless Wednesday - Summer FUN!

Swimming lessons are going SUPER at the R/S Aquatic Center!
What a world of a difference it makes when he's able to touch bottom!

Thanks to Auntie Brookie (and her employer!), we got to take the boys to a Woodchucks baseball game (Trevor's first!) for free!
We got Woody Woodchuck bobbleheads and Tyler found a baseball by our car when we parked that he had signed by Woody!

Wordless Wednesday - Flag Day Parade

On Saturday (after Tyler finally kicked the tummy bug he had) we took a road trip to Appleton for the Flag Day Parade. Our friend Meghan's family has been heading up the parade ommittee for 60 years!! We were happy to finally see all of their hard work and be part of such an awesome tradition.

Real men posing like this for the entire parade!

Trevor and Charlie chillin'!

Tyler's Cast is Off!

Great news! Tyler's cast has been off for a week now! (Yeah, I'm a little behind on giving the news. Sorry about that!) Everything looks great and is all healed up. Within a day or so he was back to normal!  (Notice there are no pics of the actual sawing of the cast?  That's because Trevor freaked out when the saw was on so we were a little pre-occupied!)

Excited to see if he gets to have his cast off!

Fave part of the appointment - the ear muffs!

Making the final cut!

Look at all that dirt!

Piecing together the cast while waiting for his x-ray.

Trevor playing with the cast - as you can tell,
we were keeping him from his nap!
